May 29, 2019
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – State Minister on Interior Shehryar Afridi has said that if challenged, the law will take its course. Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, he said that the Pashtuns had never taken up arms against Pakistan. “A matter is discussed with arguments in a ‘Jirga’. Let’s talk at a table,” he offered. The minister said that the government is ready to deal with the people who are trying to destabilize Pakistan. “We are giving respect to Afghan brothers and will continue to give them respect,” he declared. Shehryar Afridi said that there would be no compromise in New Pakistan. “Pakistan is in safe hands and its future is bright,” he said. He said that no one would be above the law. “The PM said that PTM’s demands are justified, but their method is wrong,” he said. “We are facing these days due to past mistakes and drone attacks.” The minister said that the Supreme Court had formed a joint investigation team (JIT) over the issue of missing persons and later the check-posts issue was cleared. He said that they had made Ali Wazir and Mohsin Dawar a member of the Standing Committee. “Could Mohsin Dawar make an amendment in the parliament without our support? What can we do if someone thinks otherwise?” he said. Shehryar Afridi said that the world is taking the narrative of Pakistan seriously. “We embraced the people sitting in mountains in Balochistan,” he said.
Enemies want Pakistan to be placed on blacklist: Shehryar Afridi
Earlier, State Minister for Interior Shehryar Khan Afridi has said that Pakistan’s enemies want the country to be placed on the blacklist. His visit came amid strong protest of the families along with scores of Hazara community members, who were demanding to arrest the culprits and provision of security for their families.
