IHC accepts petition seeking to add Sharif family’s name on ECL

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday accepted for hearing a petition calling for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's name to be added to the Exit Control List (ECL). The petition contended that the name of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his children, son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar and Ishaq Dar should be added to the ECL so that he does not leave the country. The IHC accepted the petition for hearing and will hold its first hearing of the case on Monday. The petitioner also prayed to the court to freeze the accounts of Nawaz Sharif, his children, son-in-law Captain (r) Safdar and Ishaq Dar.
