ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) adjourned the hearing in the bail plea of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Capt (retd) Safdar until Thursday. The IHC bench comprising of Justice Amir Farooq and Gul Hassan Aurangzeb heard the petitions of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Capt (retd) Safdar. On the other hand, Khawaja Haris, counsel for Nawaz Sharif, presented arguments in the petition regarding shifting of the Al-Azizia and Flagship references to another court. The NAB prosecutor objected to the maintainability of the plea for suspending the sentence, praying to court not to fix it for hearing. Justice Amir Farooq ordered the NAB prosecutor not to raise unnecessary objections. Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Capt (retd) Safdar, in the petitions, have appealed to court to suspend their sentences and release them on bail.
