ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of appeals regarding the Avenfield reference until November 17.

Irfan Qadir, counsel for Maryam Nawaz, appealed to court to decide their application on merit. He said that there were no documents showing the ownership of Maryam Nawaz and Mian Nawaz Sharif.

Justice Amir Farooq remarked that the verdict on the appeals and applications of the accused would be announced simultaneously.

The NAB prosecutor told court that offshore companies are owned by Nielsen and Nescoll. "Avenfield apartments are in the name of offshore companies, not Nawaz Sharif," he contended.

The court asked the NAB to present the documents of the ownership of Avenfield apartments, showing how Nawaz Sharif is related to offshore companies.

The NAB prosecutor stated that Maryam Nawaz is the beneficial owner of the Nielsen and Nescoll.
