ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) adjourned the hearing of appeals of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in the Avenfield and Al-Azizia references until November 27.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Mian Gull Hassan Aurangzeb sought arguments on the next hearing.
During the hearing, the IHC chief justice remarked that the bench deciding on the appeal of the Avenfield case was different.
Azam Nazir Tarar, counsel for Nawaz Sharif, contended that these appeals were heard partially and the court has to hear these appeals afresh.
On October 26, the IHC had restored the appeals filed by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif against his conviction in the Avenfield and Al-Azizia references. The accountability court had convicted Nawaz Sharif in both references.
