IHC adjourns plea for Nawaz Sharif's protective bail till tomorrow

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of plea seeking protective bail for PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif.

The two-member bench comprising of Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Mian Gul Hassan issued notices to the NAB.

Azam nazir Tara and Amjad Pervez, in the petition, contended that Nawaz Sharif wants to surrender in the Avenfield and Al-Azizia references and hence orders should be issued to stop the police from arresting him.

Chief Justice Aamer Farooq questioned whether the petitioner is absconding. The counsels contended that the petitioner is absconding, but there exist the court verdicts where protection was given after the surrender.
