IHC attack case: Islamabad District & Sessions Judge Tahir Mahmood transferred on lawyers' demand

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – On the demand of lawyers, District and Sessions Judge Tahir Mahmood was transferred on Thursday.

A notification was issued in this regard. On the orders of District and Sessions Judge Tahir Mahmood, the lawyers' chambers were demolished.

Later, lawyers attacked and ransacked the Islamabad High Court in protest. A case was registered against the lawyers for attacking the IHC. The lawyers had demanded the transfer of District and Sessions Judge Tahir Mahmood.

Meanwhile, Kamaran Basharat Mufti has been appointed in his place. Syed Ihtesham Ali has been appointed as Director Research Centre, Islamabad High Court.
