IHC to hear petitions of Nawaz, Maryam & Capt (retd) Safdar on July 31

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A two-member bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has been formed to hear the petitions of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Capt (retd) Safdar on July 31. The bench comprising of Justice Amir Farooq and Gul Hassan Aurangzeb will hear the petitions regarding suspension of their sentences in the Avenfield reference. The notices issued to the NAB by the Islamabad High Court have been implemented. The NAB legal team will also appear before court next week. Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Capt (retd) Safdar, in the petitions, have appealed to court to suspend their sentences nad release them on bail. The court will also hear Nawaz Sharif’s plea for transferring the Al-Azizia and Flagship references to another court.
