ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Friday issued the written order of the rejection of the plea filed by the PTI chairman against his indictment in the cipher case.

The order issued by Chief Justice Aamer Farooq ruled that the IHC cannot interfere in the verdict of the Official Secret Act issued on October 23. "This fact cannot be denied that the fair trial is the basic right of the accused. Cipher is classified document that cannot be shared with an unauthorized person," it observed.

The order rules that the argument regarding exemption is also rejected under the Article 248. "According to the prosecution, the cipher is in the possession of Imran Khan. All documentary proofs are against the PTI chairman. The bail cannot be granted in the cases of heinous nature. Apparently the accused is related to the case," it ruled.
