IHC chief justice declared Person of Year for bold stance about missing persons

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Center for Governance Research, an organization, has declared Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Athar Minallah the Person of the Year for his bold and principled stance about the missing persons.

The IHC chief justice had held the executive and the federal cabinet responsible for the missing persons.

The Center for Governance Research demanded immediate promulgation of legislation dealing with enforced disappearances.

"The missing persons issue should be addressed as top agenda for achieving good governance," it demanded.
