IHC declares appointment of all PMC Council members as illegal

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has declared the appointment of all members of the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) Council as illegal.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani announced the reserved verdict on the applications of the employees against the appointment of the PMC Council.

The court ordered to remove all PMC Council members. The appointment of PMC Council president Dr Arshad Taqi and vice-president Muhammad Ali Raza has been declared illegal.

The court ordered the government to run the daily matters till the appointment of the members. It ruled that the pension given to the PMDC employees cannot be withdrawn, adding that those did not get the pension are ineligible for it.
