IHC declares formation of Cabinet Committee on Privatization as illegal

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has declared the formation of the Cabinet Committee on Privatization as illegal.

The court ruled that inclusion of advisers in the Committee on Privatization as illegal. "Adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance Abdul Hafeez Sheikh cannot head the Cabinet Committee," it added.

PML-N MNA Rana Iradat had moved the court, through Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha advocate, against the formation of the Cabinet Committee.
