IHC dismisses PTI chairman's plea for stopping jail trial in cipher case

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday dismissed the plea of the PTI chairman for stopping his trial in Adiala jail in the cipher case.

Hearing the plea, Justice Mian Gull Hassan remarked that they cannot violate the rules for a person.

"We cannot give the interim relief. It will be decided later that whether the application is admissible or not. We are removing the objections to your application raised by the registrar office," he ruled.

He observed that it has been stated that the trial is being conducted in jail for security reasons.
