ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has formed a larger bench over plea challenging the removal of Omar Sarfraz Cheema as Punjab governor.

IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah conducted hearing of the plea. Omar Sarfraz Cheema appeared before the court along with his counsel Babar Awan. The court ordered the registrar office to remove objections on the plea and formed a larger bench to hear the case.

During the hearing, Babar Awan said that we have not been notified to de-notify so he attached a copy of WhatsApp with the application.

Talking to media after the hearing, Omar Sarfraz Cheema said that those who resigned and accepted should have seen whether it was constitutional or not. The Advocate General's report termed the resignation as trash.
