IHC grants 14-day protective bail to PTI chairman in lawyer murder case

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday granted 14-day protective bail to the PTI chairman in the lawyer murder case.

On the other hand, IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq remanded the Toshakhana case to the trial court, directing it to consider the petition of the ousted prime minister regarding maintainability of the case as pending and decide it again within seven days.

The court also nullified the trial court's verdict declaring the petition maintainable issued on May 5.

The Supreme Court had rejected the plea for interim bail and the stay order against the Islamabad High Court verdict.
