IHC grants 15-day protective bail to Asif Zardari in US property case

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has granted 15-protective bail to PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in the US property case on Tuesday.

Hearing the case, IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah remarked that they had collected several files of the people seeking relief after the promulgation of the NAB Amended Ordinance. "Now it is responsibility of the NAB to scrutinize the cases," he observed.

He remarked that it had been decided that the accountability court had been granted the right to hear the bail application.

The court also directed Asif Zardari to file a pre-arrest bail plea in the trial court.
