IHC grants protective bail to PTI chairman Imran Khan for three days

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday granted protective bail to PTI chairman Imran Khan for three days till August 25.

A division bench comprising of Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani and Justice Babar Sattar heard the case.

The court also ordered Imran Khan to appear before the relevant anti-terrorism trial court within three days. Moreover, the court also removed the objection regarding confirmation of the biometric of Imran Khan.

Babar Awan, counsel for Imran Khan, told court that they had contacted the IHC as the ATC judge was on leave. "Imran Khan wants to appear before the trial court. He should be granted an interim bail," he added.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani remarked that the petition has not been entertained yet. On Sunday, a case was registered against Imran Khan under 7ATA for hurling threats to the police authorities and the judge.
