IHC lifts ban on live broadcast of Imran Khan's speeches

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) lifted the ban on the live broadcast of PTI chairman Imran Khan's speeches, suspending a notification issued the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) temporarily.

The court also sought a reply from the PEMRA and the attorney general till September 5.

IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah remarked that there was no suitable reason for banning the speech of Imran Khan under the present circumstances.

"The PEMRA has exceeded its limit by banning the speech of Imran Khan," he observed.
