IHC moved against PTI chairman's indictment in cipher case

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - A petition was filed in the Islamabad High Court to challenge the indictment of the PTI chairman in the cipher case.
The petition filed through Salman Safdar advocate and Khalid Yousaf advocate stated that charges can only framed after seven days of providing copies of the challan.
"The trial court has not fulfilled the legal requirement of seven days and indicted the PTI chairman in a haste. The court also wants to complete the trial hastily and the apex court had not issued any directions in this regard," it contended.
The petition stated that basic constitutional rights would be affected through the hasty trial, demanding that the October 23 order of the Official Secret Act.
