ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has on Thursday ordered to block all the six blasphemous social media pages. Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui resumed hearing of the case. During the proceedings, the court ordered Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar to block all social media if necessary. The judge became emotional during the proceedings and hinted at summoning Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif provided no action is taken regarding the material. The court also instructed to inform the prime minister regarding the sensitivity of the issue. On the other hand, acting on Islamabad High Court order, police have registered a case against unidentified persons for posting and spreading blasphemous material on social media. The case was registered at Raman Police Station after Islamabad High Court (IHC) ordered the government to take legal action against "blasphemous Facebook pages".
