ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Islamabad High Court on Thursday rejected PTI Senator Faisal Vawda's intra-court appeal to stop proceedings in the Election Commission of Pakistan.

The appeal was heard by Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Mian Gull Hassan Aurangzeb.

The court ordered to continue the proceedings of the ECP. It also upheld the court order to decide his disqualification case within two months. Faisal Vawda had challenged the order of IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah.

On December 6, the IHC rejected PTI Senator Faisal Vawda's plea to stop the disqualification case in the Election Commission of Pakistan.

Justice Aamer Farooq had remarked that Faisal Vawda had already been playing hide and seek for one and a half years. "Now he (Faisal Vawda) will go to the Election Commission of Pakistan, with the plea that the case is sub judice in the LHC," he observed.
