IHC issues stay order against PTI founder's cipher trial till January 11

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday issued the stay order till January 11, stopping the cipher trial being held in Adiala jail.

The court also issued notices to the Federation on the application against the indictment of the PTI founder and vice-chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi. 

The court also issued a notice for starting the court proceedings by registering the FIR without lodging a complaint of the incident.

The counsel for the PTI founder contended that the legal procedure had not ben adopted in the indictment. "The mentioned notification was issued on December 1. The court directed the petitioner to submit all documents on the next date of hearing.

Official Secrets Act Special Court Abual Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain had started the cipher trial afresh in Adiala district jail after the indictment of the PTI founder and Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
