ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday rejected the plea seeking to immediately stop the cipher trial.

The court issued notices to the FIA for December 20 on the plea for not fulfilling the legal process for the trial in jail. During the hearing, Justice Mian Gull Hassan Aurangzeb asked who will decide about the venue of the court. The counsel expressed his ignorance about showing the jail trial notification by the federal government.

On the other hand, the PTI former chairman has expressed distrust at IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq.

Meanwhile, Official Secret Act Special Court Judge Abu Al-Hasnat Zulqarnain accepted the prosecution's plea for in-camera proceedings of the cipher case. The court announced the reserved verdict.

The prosecution had filed the petition under the Section 14. The next hearing of the case will be in-camera. However, the family members will be provided access to the courtroom. The court has adjourned the hearing until Friday.
