ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Islamabad High Court on Thursday sought a reply to the petition to suspend the acceptance of PTI's resignations.

Chief Justice Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Athar Minallah heard the case. Lawyer Ali Zafar appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioners.

During the hearing, Chief Justice Athar Minallah remarked that orders cannot be made only for political point scoring. “Give affidavit that you will go back to parliament only then will listen. If you want to maintain political instability, it is not in the interest of the country.

“People elected to represent them in Parliament. Don't make a joke of democracy and parliament. These are political matters and the forum for their resolution is Parliament. Solve the political issues in parliament,” he added.

Lawyer Ali Zafar said that the resignations were given together on the condition that they were accepted together. At this, Chief Justice said that when resignations are given then approval is the power of the Speaker.
