IHC stops PTA from blocking SIMs of tax non-filers until May 27
ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Chief Justice Aamer Farooq of the the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday stopped the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) from blocking the SIMs of non-filers until May 27.
During the hearing, Salman Akram Raja, counsel for a private mobile phone company, contended that the amendment made in the Article 18 is in clash with the basic right to freedom of business.
After hearing the arguments, the court stopped the PTA from blocking SIMS of tax non-filers.
