IHC suspends ECP’s decision to change tribunal for three constituencies
ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday suspended the decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to change the tribunal of three constituencies.
The verdict was announced by IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq.
After the suspension of the ECP verdict, the tribunal comprising of Justice Tariq Mahmood Jahangiri was restored.
The court issued a show-cause notice to Anjum Aqeel for using the word ‘prejudice’, directing him to ensure his presence. However, PML-N leader Anjum Aqeel tendered an apology.
Anjum Aqeel said that judges are respectable for them. “It is my mistake as I signed the document without going through it,” he stated.
