ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has termed the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) Ordinance 2022 as black and draconian law.

Hearing the case, IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah remarked that the government had made the PECA Ordinance worst than the NAB law. "The people will not write anything in fear of the arrest after the promulgation of the ordinance," he observed.

The chief justice observed it was pity that the people raising voice against the government would be arrested. "The PECA Ordinance is in clash with the Article 19 of the constitution.
