IHC to hear Al-Azizia reference against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Dec 7

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) will hear the Al-Azizia reference against PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif on December 7.

IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Mian Gull Hassan Aurangzeb. Nawaz Sharif has already filed an appeal against the verdict of the accountability court.

Meanwhile, the IHC released the short verdict of the acquittal of Nawaz Sharif in the Avenfield reference. During the hearing, the NAB prosecutor had referred to the court observation in case of Maryam Nawaz and Capt (retd) Safdar.

The court had observed that the NAB had no documentary evidence to prove the case against Nawaz Sharif. "The acquittal of Maryam Nawaz and Capt (retd) Safdar was not challenged in any court," it ruled.

However, the detailed verdict would be released later on.
