IHC to hear plea seeking stopping of election schedule tomorrow

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamer Farooq will hear an appeal seeking stopping the release of the election schedule on Thursday.

Aftab Alam Virk, a citizen, contended that the government had ordered the illegal Afghan citizens to leave Pakistan. "It has been revealed that hundreds of fake identity cards were issued to the Afghan nationals and a large number of voters have been registered through these cards," he added.

He appealed to the court to order the Election Commission of Pakistan to review the electoral role. "The NADRA should be ordered to cancel the fake identity cards and inform the ECP," he demanded.
