The IHC apologized from interfering in the national level decisions. IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah remarked that the second wave of coronavirus is very serious and alarming. "It is the responsibility of the state to fully implement on the SOPs," he said.

"What happed in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) during election campaign. People were discriminated in GB. Poor people were taken out in public gathering amidst COVID-19. Extraordinary decisions must be made in extraordinary circumstances," the chief justice maintained.

In his remarks, Justice Athar Minullah also said that deaths did not occur due to coronavirus but because of our irresponsible behavior. "We lost a valuable chief justice due to this pandemic and nobody knows who will be the next victim of the virus. Prime Minister Imran Khan should set an example for others during these conditions," he added.
