Illegal lease of land case: Sindh government seeks time to submit reply

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Sindh government has on Wednesday sought time from the Supreme Court to submit reply on allegations regarding illegal lease of 5000 acres of land. A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali heard a suo moto notice case regarding illegal lease of 5000 acres of land. The Additional Advocate General Sindh Qazi Sheharyar told the court that the government has cancelled the alleged agreement after court notice. He said that the Transparency International has leveled severe allegations against the Sindh government and the government wants to give explanation regarding the allegations but it needs some time. The court accepted the government's request and adjourned the hearing till the first week of October.
