IMF programme will be restored soon, hopes Finance Minister Miftah Ismail

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Finance Minister Miftah Ismail has said that the IMF programme will be restored soon.

Talking to the media outside the parliament on Monday, he said that the programme would be restored soon.

"The IMF has no objection to the increase in the salaries. It has no objection to waiver of tax on the income of Rs1.2 million," he said.

The minister said that the poor people will get a relief from the steps taken by the government while tax would be imposed on the rich.

"The tax will not be levied on the people starting construction after getting occupation. Moreover, tax will not be imposed till getting permission for construction and occupation of land," he declared.
