ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has on Sunday expressed concern over the road show when disqualified former prime minister Nawaz Sharif returns to his hometown Lahore. In a statement on Sunday, he said that the Sharif brothers are trying to weaken the Supreme Court in a planned attempt. Nawaz Sharif wanted to destroy the judicial and democratic system by denying the judgment of the Supreme Court, he said. The PTI chairman said that Nawaz Sharif had lost justification to rule the day his corruption was exposed. Khan said that the Sharif’s second purpose of the road show is to pressure National Accountability Bureau (NAB) as the Bureau is going to open corruption, money laundering, tax evasion, assets’ concealment and forgery cases against Sharif’s on the orders of the apex court. On the other hand, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has postponed earlier plan of Nawaz returning to Lahore on Sunday through motorway by mobilizing people from across Punjab for Nawaz occasion of returning to Lahore via GT Road as the best option to show its political muscles. Punjab Information Minister Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman said that the decision to change the program had been taken on “public pressure”. He said Nawaz Sharif's journey to Lahore would be completed at least in two days. "Although there are security issues in travelling on the GT Road but Nawaz is a brave leader," he said.
