Imran Ismail gets PTI’s ticket for NA-246 by-polls
KARACHI (92 News) – The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday awarded ticket to Imran Ismail to contest by-elections from NA-246 Azizabad, Karachi – a stronghold of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
PTI leader Arif Alvi made the announcement during a press conference. Arif Alvi also announced a public-gathering in Azizabad’s Jinnah Ground on April 19.
The PTI leader also demanded deployment of army personnel inside and outside polling stations during the by-polls, scheduled to be held on April 23.
The NA-246 seat felt vacant after the resignation of Nabeel Gabol, who also later parted ways with the MQM.
MQM’s Kunwar Naved Jamil would be contesting by-elections against PTI’s Imran Ismail.
