ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan condemned the attack on PTI Workers Convention and announced to hold country-wide protests on Friday. “I regret that they harassed women. Which democracy allows such a treatment? Which democracy baton charges a peaceful protest? I ask Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Asfandyar Wali what kind of ‘democracy’ they support,” he said while addressing a press conference at Bani Gala on Thursday. “Nawaz Sharif is trying to become an Amir ul Mu’umineen (leader of the fateful). He acts like a king when he is in power,” he said. Addressing the people, Khan said, “It is very important for the people to come out on November 2. If you want to make this democracy and this country an independent one, you have to come out on Nov 2.” “Our youth is powerful. The aggression of our workers has increased. We are not the same party now. The workers would hold peaceful protests across the country tomorrow,” he said and added, “I will participate in Sheikh Rashid’s meeting tomorrow. If they arrest me then I will protest after getting out of jail.” Criticizing the Punjab chief minister, he said that Shehbaz Sharif should be given an Oscar over yesterday’s acting. Both these brothers are not embarrassed. “When we talk about corruption, they say that CPEC is in danger. Development is not being done in Pakistan, only rulers’ accounts are being developed. The Sharif brothers have collected billions of rupees. Their policy is to escape from accountability. They fear that the looted money does not get caught,” he said.
