Imran Khan caused destruction during four years, threatened journalists: Marriyum

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Federal Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb said that PTI chairman had caused destruction during the last four years and he had threatened journalists as well.

Addressing a press conference along with Finance Minister Miftah Ismail on Saturday, she said that the international agencies had termed his tenure as black for the media.

She said that the person doing fake politics says he had a problem with the fake news. "Imran Khan tried his best to make the country like Sri Lanka, but the people rejected him. His speeches prove that he has lost the by-elections," he maintained.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Imran Khan would be held responsible if riots occurred during the by-elections on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Finance Minister Miftah Ismail said that the present government had saved the country from bankruptcy. "The former government only told a lie and did not do any work. Only reduction in the petroleum prices caused destruction. The country was destroyed due to wrong decisions made during the last four years," he added.

Miftah Ismail said that the government would reduce the budget deficit. "The IMF will give a tranche of US$1.17 billion and the amount will be received in 25 days," he declared.
