Imran Khan, Ch Pervaiz Elahi discuss protest movement against polls delay

LAHORE (92 News) - Punjab former chief minister Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi called on PTI chairman Imran Khan at Zaman Park on Saturday.

During the meeting, they discussed overall political situation as well as the protest movement against the delay in the elections. They also exchanged views on possible joining of the PTI by Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi.

Speaking on the occasion, Imran Khan said that fake cases are being registered against the PTI leadership and workers. "The ruling group is carrying out revengeful activities in fear of the elections," he added.

He said that leaders and workers will voluntarily offer their arrests during the movement. "The nation is in the field after smashing the idols of fear. The incompetent coterie destroyed economy and now the constitution is being trampled," he added.

Imran Khan said that the elections are inevitable to steer the country out of economic crisis.

Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi fully supported the 'Jail Bharo' movement announced by Imran Khan. He said that the PML-N was attacking the judiciary as per its tradition.

He said that Imran Khan was the ray of hope for the people of Pakistan.
