Imran Khan desires to take oath in public place
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e- Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has announced that he will take the prime minister's oath at D-Chowk in public gathering.
In his tweet, PTI senior leader Naeemul Haque said that Imran Khan has expressed the desire to take oath in a public place and not the President's House.
He also said that D-Chowk in Islamabad might be the right place to do so, considering the party’s historical association with D-chowk with regard to their 126 day long sit-in staged there.
However, the PTI and the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) are battling over who will form the government in Punjab.IK would prefer a People’s ceremony of oath taking where thousands can watch him take the oath as PM of Pakistan. Perhaps D Chowk area may be the right place to do it. Let’s hope so. Will keep on updating on this.
