Imran Khan Disqualification Case: ECP adjourns hearing for indefinite period
ISLAMABD (92 News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has on Monday adjourned hearing of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan’s disqualification case for indefinite period.
A five-member bench of the ECP headed by Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Muhammad Raza Khan ordered that the case will be heard after the Supreme Court’s judgment on a related case.
During the proceedings, Naeem Bukhari, counsel of Imran Khan said that the similar petition against PTI chairman Imran Khan and Jahangir Tareen are being heard by the Supreme Court.
He requested the ECP to adjourn the hearing for indefinite period.
The Chief Election Commissioner remarked that similar petitions are being heard by the apex court and adjourned the hearing until the SC’s verdict is out.
