Imran Khan Disqualification Case: SC adjourns hearing till July 31

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Supreme Court has on Tuesday adjourned the hearing of the disqualification case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan until July 31. A three-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar resumed hearing of the case. During the proceedings, Naeem Bukhari, the counsel of PTI chairman Imran Khan submitted a complete banking record to establish the money trail in relation to the purchase of his London flat. Naeem Bukhari said that there isn’t any issue of transferring money abroad for London flat, adding that there was no irregularity in the purchasing of London flats. He said that the first installment for the flats was paid in 1983, adding that London flats were mentioned in 2002 elections. The court remarked that the amount was transferred in May, 2003 after the payments of Bani Gala property were made. The remittances received from Jemima are not clear, he commented. The court adjourned the hearing until July 31.
