Imran Khan disqualification: Justice Shaukat removed from bench hearing

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Lahore High Court Justice Shaukat Aziz has been removed from the bench which is to hear the case regarding Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s disqualification from public office. The divisional bench has been forme d to hear the hear the case against Imran Khan under the charge that he does not fulfill the requirements laid down by Article 62. Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb has replaced Justice Shaukat Aziz in the divisional bench. Prior to his dismissal, Justice Shaukat Aziz alongside Justice Amir Farooq had ordered Imran Khan to submit a response by 1st August, 2018. Petitioners Democratic Party stated that Imran Khan did not reveal the identity of his daughter Tyrian White, he is neither ‘Sadiq’ nor ‘Ameen’ and should be declared unfit to run for public office.
