Imran Khan is advising workers to go to jail after himself getting bail: Sherry Rehman

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Senator Sherry Rehman has said that Imran Khan is advising the workers to go to jail after himself getting the bail.

In a message on Twitter, she said that this is the reason why only 1,600 workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have registered for the 'Jail Bharo' movement. "PTI workers have also rejected Imran Khan's politics after the people."

She further wrote that the daily arrest of a few workers is being compared to the Movement for Restoration of Democracy (MRD). "The PTI is completely unaware of the struggle for democracy in the country. Thousands of people and workers were martyred in during the MRD."

Sherry Rehman said that the MRD movement was against Zia's dictatorship as well as for the restoration of democracy and the constitution. "The MRD was not about saving a person's personal politics or a narrative. Imran Khan's 'Jail Bharo' Movement' is for his personal political purposes. This campaign has nothing to do with democracy, country and people," she maintained.
