LAHORE (92 News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that PTI chairman Imran Khan had levelled the allegations for six years, but today he himself turned out to be a thief.

Addressing a press conference in Model Town on Saturday, he said that Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa had played a very responsible role. "Yesterday was a lucky day. An important judgment was announced other than the FATF," he added.

He said that Pakistan faced difficulties in trade and investment when it was placed on the FATF grey list. "Pakistan will get rid of economic problems permanently after being removed from the grey list," he maintained.

Shehbaz Sharif congratulated Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto, State Minister on Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar and the Foreign Ministry officers who strived day and night for the success. He also paid a tribute to COAS Qamar Bajwa for playing a role in the exit from the grey list.

The prime minister said that Imran Khan is a certified thief and a liar. "Imran Khan violated the constitution. He sold the gifts received from friendly countries. He earned humiliation for the country after selling watches," he maintained.

He said that Imran Khan submitted a false affidavit in the Election Commission of Pakistan and gave a wrong account number after being pressurized. "We will not allow a certified thief to enter Islamabad. The elections cannot be held in the country till improvement in the economic condition," he said, adding that the matters will not be resolved through public meetings and indecent speeches.

He said that the people taunted them for getting the NRO, but they worked and did not compromise on national interests.
