Imran Khan should be punished for his corruption in foreign funding case: Maryam Nawaz

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had received illegal funds and bribe in the name of donation.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, she said that the ECP and justice-dispensing institutions should take action against Imran Khan as per law. "Imran Khan gave the contract of the construction of a luxury hotel to Mumtaz Ahmed who gave him the illegal funding," she disclosed.

The PML-N vice-president alleged that Imran Khan received the foreign funding amount through the accounts of his four employees. "Imran Khan is submerged in corruption and conspiracy from head to toe. He received the funding from America, Dubai, London and Canada," she maintained.

Maryam Nawaz was of the view that Imran Khan should resign for concealing the foreign funding. "The ECP should hear the foreign funding case on daily basis and award punishment to Imran Khan for his corruption in the foreign funding case," she demanded.

She also demanded that a joint investigation team should be formed against Imran Khan. "The ECP report has exposed Imran Khan. All was done on the wish and order of Imran Khan. Undeniable proofs of the PTI foreign funding have been revealed and now it should be probed that he received how much money from which company," she added.

The PML-N vice-president said that the PTI told a lie, concealed the facts and submitted the fake certificates. "Imran Khan used the illegal foreign funding against an elected government. As per law, a party receiving foreign funding is dissolved. Your (Imran Khan) brand is incompetence, lie, corruption, conspiracy and destruction. Now you will not be allowed to escape," she concluded.
