Imran Khan's govt is the most corrupt one in country's history: Maryam Nawaz

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz has said that the government of Imran Khan is the most corrupt in the history of the country.

Reacting to the report of Transparency International on Twitter, she said that the PTI government had established records in the decline of each sector and made progress only one – theft and plunder.

"The Imran mafia looted the national wealth without any check besides emptying the pockets of the people," she added.

In a report on Tuesday, Transparency International said that Pakistan dropped 16 places in the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) for 2021 compared to the previous year, ranking 140 out of 180 countries.

The CPI ranks 180 countries and territories around the world by their perceived levels of public sector corruption. As per the details, Pakistan’s score dropped by three points to 28 on the CPI. Last year, the country’s score was 31. "It shows that corruption has increased in Pakistan as compared to the last year," said the report.
