ISLAMABAD (92 News) - PTI chairman Imran Khan has said that he never thought who would be the army chief in November.

Addressing a seminar on Wednesday, he said that he thought he would appoint the army chief on merit when the time will come.

"I have no need to appoint an army chief because I do not want to hide my theft. Nawaz Sharif to perform such tasks to save his theft," he maintained.

The former premier said that he and Shaukat Tarin had asked the neutrals to stop the conspiracy, otherwise there will be economic instability in the country. "The government did what we predicted. Today the economy is going down and the inflation is going upward," he added.

He said that he never believed that they would reach a point where a corrupt man like Shehbaz Sharif would be imposed, despite knowing about the conspiracy is going on.

Imran Khan said that he did not consider himself anti-America. "It is in the interest of America that Pakistan should recognize Israel as well as hegemony of India. Our stance on Kashmir will end on the day when we accepted Israel," he declared.

He said that the US always changes a regime in a country to protect its interest, not for the betterment of that country.
