ISLAMABAD (92 News) – An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on February 15 in cases related SSP torture case and PTV attack case. The ATC Judge Shahrukh Arjumand heard four cases against PTI chairman Imran Khan. During the proceedings, the court summoned Imran Khan on February 15 in case related to attack on PTV and on February 26 in case related to SSP torture case. The notice was sent to the PTI chairman’s residence in Bani Gala. On Tuesday, Police had submitted interim challan against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan in the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC). The PTI chairman was declared as the prime accused in the charge sheet and also presented a list of 14 witnesses. The CCTV footage of the attack on the SSP and police personnel has also been included in the charge-sheet. On January 17, the court granted bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Shireen Mazari, Arif Alvi and Asad Umar in cases of terrorism after the three leaders approached the court to get bail before arrest. On December 11, the anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Monday rejected the petition of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s petition challenging the jurisdiction of court to hear the four cases filed against him and argued to drop terrorism charges against Imran Khan. In August 2014, when PTI and PAT supporters tried to storm the Prime Minister’s house using cranes to remove barricades, violence broke out. Violence between the police and protesters led to 3 dead and 560 injured. 77 of the injured individuals had been security officials deployed in the Red Zone.
