Imran Khan terms Intezar’s killing a cold-blooded murder

KARACHI (92 News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has said that to stop incidents like the killing of Intezar Ahmad, police must be depoliticized in Punjab and Sindh like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. PTI chairman Imran Khan visited the house of deceased Intezar Ahmad in Defense Karachi and offered condolence with his father Ishtiaq Ahmad. Talking to media, Imran Khan said that the killing of Intezar Ahmed by Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) officials was a cold-blooded murder. This is not an accident but a cold-blooded murder, he said, adding that police must be depoliticized. Speaking on the occasion, Ishtiaq Ahmad raised concern on the probe of Joint Investigation Team (JIT), adding that he will approach the Supreme Court for transparent investigation. He alleged that the police force is trying to protect their colleagues.
