Imran Khan terms overseas Pakistanis as precious asset

JEDDAH (Web Desk) - Prime Minister Imran Khan says overseas Pakistanis have a pivotal role in progress and development of the country.

Addressing a ceremony in connection with Roshan Digital Account in Jeddah today (Sunday), he termed overseas Pakistanis as his strength and precious asset for Pakistan.

The Prime Minister said these are defining moments for Pakistan as country is back on track of prosperity.

He said the aim of Roshan Digital Account portal is to enhance remittances by tapping the real potential of overseas Pakistanis. He said economic stability in the country has paved the way for diaspora to invest in Pakistan.

Imran Khan said despite covid-19, we saved livelihood and economy simultaneously. Comparing Pakistan with its neighbouring countries, he said country's economic indicators are positive and exports are increasing.

Talking about his visit to Saudi Arabia, the Prime Minister said our relations with brotherly country has been further enhanced. He said Pakistan attaches an immense emotional attachment with Saudi Arabia. He added Saudi Arabia has always stood by Pakistan in difficult time.

On the occasion, Imran Khan also directed the Pakistan's ambassador to keep in touch with Pakistan community and take steps to address their issues.
