ISLAMABAD (92 News) - PTI chairman Imran Khan has written a letter to President Arif Alvi, asking him to start investigations against Gen (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa.

He also sent details of violations of the oath committed by Gen (retd) Qamar Bajwa.

Imran Khan wrote that startling revelations have been made during the last few weeks at the public level. "Why did Gen (retd) Bajwa used to record the secret conversation?"

He wrote that who gave the authority to General (retd) Bajwa to decide that the elected prime minister's stay in power is dangerous for the country. "This decision is solely for the people as to whom they want to elect as prime minister," he maintained.

The PTI chairman said that Gen (retd) Bajwa making himself a decision-maker in this regard is a clear violation of the oath taken under the Article 244 and the 3rd Schedule of the constitution. "General Bajwa in his conversation claimed to control the NAB. Gen Bajwa also admitted that he got the NAB case closed against Shaukat Tareen," he stated.

He said that Gen (retd) Bajwa admitted that he had recordings of his conversation with Prime Minister Imran Khan, which is blatant violation of his oath and basic human rights. "During the Security Conference held in Islamabad on April 2, 2022, Gen (retd) Bajwa adopted totally opposite stance over the Russia-Ukraine war in sheer violation of the Pakistan government policy," he opined.

He demanded that President Arif Alvi as supreme commander should initiate an inquiry against the former army chief.
